Research and design of lightweight workflow model based on improved activity-on-vertex network

摘要: 针对现有工作流模型在应对大型复杂系统时的不足,引入轻量级模型的概念,提出一种基于改进AOV网的轻量级工作流模型以满足大型复杂业务流程的工作流管理需求。在对模型进行详细定义与设计的同时,给出了流程调度中关键的两个算法——分支的调度算法及汇聚的同步算法以确保流程的准确运行。通过对一个具体实例的流程建模分析,体现了模型的轻量级优势并采用图论的分析手段对模型进行静态及动态验证,证明了模型的合理性。

Abstract: For the deficiency when the existing workflow models deal with large and complex system, the concept of lightweight model was introduced and a lightweight workflow model based on improved Activity-On-Vertex (AOV) network was proposed to meet the requirements of the large and complex business process in workflow management. While the detailed definition and design of this model were presented, two critical algorithms in process scheduling, scheduling algorithm for branch points and synchronization algorithm for convergent points, were given to ensure the accurate operation of the process. The lightweight advantage of this model was reflected through the analysis of a concrete example's workflow modeling. Using graph theory to do static and dynamic verification on this model, it proves that this model is reasonable.
