Abstract: Peer-to-Peer based Video-on-Demand systems (VoD/P2P) have received a lot of research attention in recent years. Based on practical experience from a real system, the work on VoD/P2P storage consists of three parts. 1) By decomposing the VoD/P2P storage process into key modules, it is able to analyze the functionality and relationships of these modules. 2) A general storage algorithm VSVR is presented, which can represent most of existing data redundancy algorithms and derive new designs. 3) By system modeling, the main objective as well as the key principle of the storage scheduling policy at server side is given.

摘要: 在对真实VoD/P2P系统的存储过程进行模块划分的基础上:在客户端,提出了一种通用的存储算法模型VSVR,它可以归纳目前绝大多数的存储策略并可能推导出新的设计;在服务器端,给出了存储调度的主要目标与基本原理。其工作可作为VoD/P2P系统存储设计的重要参考。
