Curve detection and its application in mainstream line of Yellow River

摘要: 提出一种从点状随机分布背景中检测连续曲线的方法。根据曲线连续性特征,采用动态规划算法寻求数据集中最显著的曲线特征,给出了在基于多光谱影像黄河主溜线检测中的应用实例。由于黄河主溜区域和非主溜区域光谱差异小,造成提取出的主溜点存在一定散布情况。根据河流相邻主溜点之间的连续性,分析了算法在主溜线检测中的可行性,并用实验验证了算法的有效性和与曲线拟合方法相比的优越性。

Abstract: An approach to detecting continuous curves from uniformly distributed random background was presented. A dynamic programming algorithm was employed to detect the most notable curve from the points according to curve continuity. And an application to detect the Yellow River's mainstream line was demonstrated with multispectral image. The mainstream points extracted by feature extraction methods were scattered on the river because of the spectral similarity of mainstream and non-mainstream. The spatial continuity between mainstream points makes this approach feasible. And experimental results indicate that this approach is valid and superior to curve fitting.
