分形图像编码中解码图像质量的预测

Prediction on decoded image quality for fractal image coding

摘要: 对于分形图像编码算法,提出一种解码图像质量的预测方法。通过大量实验观察,发现分形图像编码中Range块的平均拼贴误差与解码图像质量峰值信噪比(PSNR)值之间存在类似指数函数的对应关系。将该对应关系进行曲线拟合,计算Range块的平均拼贴误差,根据平均拼贴误差进行解码图像质量预测。实验结果表明,对于不同R块尺寸和快速分形图像编码算法,该算法均能够对解码图像质量进行较好的预测。

Abstract: A new decoded image quality prediction algorithm for fractal image coding was proposed. According to the results of many experiments, there exists an approximately exponential discipline between the average collage error and the PSNR of decoded image quality. The collage error of each range block was computed in the fractal encoding process and the PSNR of decoded image quality was predicted according to the average collage error. The experimental results show that for different sizes of range blocks and fast fractal image encoding, the proposed algorithm can obtain satisfying prediction results of decoded image quality.
