体数据中物体之间结构关系的描述方法

Depiction of structural relationships between objects in volumetric data

摘要: 体数据中不同的物体之间存在不同的结构关系,如隐藏关系、拓扑关系等,不同结构关系是影响用户理解体数据的重要特征之一。从分析体数据中物体之间关系入手,提出一个有效的体绘制应当定义一个从数据到绘制的映射,以便将数据中物体之间的每种关系映射到绘制空间。然后提出描述体数据中物体之间典型结构关系的体绘制方法。在绘制空间对物体之间的不同关系的描述增强了用户对体数据的理解,并拓展了体绘制在体数据分析中的功能。

Abstract: Different structural relationships exist between various objects in a volume data set such as inclusion and topology. These structural relationships also affect understanding the features of the data set. Through analyzing the relationships between objects, this paper proposed that an effective volume rendering should define a mapping from data to rendering so that each relationship between objects in the data space was mapped to the rendering space. Then different rendering methods were presented to depict typical structural relationships in the data set. The depiction of various structural relationships between objects in rendering space enhances the understanding of the data set, and extends roles of volume rendering in volume data analysis.
