摘要: 提出了一种能提高人脸识别鲁棒性的图像预处理方法,即基于平均模板的图像纠正算法ICBAT。该算法通过将人脸图像与平均模板进行比较,利用两者的差值构造权值,用此权值对人脸图像加权纠正以减少由光照引入到人脸图像中的亮斑和阴影。实验表明该ICBAT算法能大幅度降低人脸识别算法对表情和光照变化的敏感性,而且能大幅度提高人脸识别算法对训练样本数的非依赖性。

Abstract: An image preprocessing approach was presented to improve the robustness of face recognition-Image Correction By Average Template(ICBAT). ICBAT compared a face image with the average template, and constructed a weight through the difference of them,and it realized correction of the face image by adding the weight to it. Experiments show that the proposed method can greatly reduce the bright speckles and shadows of images caused by lighting and decrease the sensitivity of face recognition to the variations of facial expression and illumination. Meanwhile, this approach can increase the independence of recognition on the number of training samples.
