Abstract: Ride quality index is an important index of the quality when assessing train and Sperling index has been widely used in the evaluation on train’s running quality. In practice, the realization of the platform generally requires equipment including laptop computer, transducer, software, all kinds of data and power lines. In order to avoid the inconvenience of current train comfort evaluation platforms, a ride quality index measuring APP is developed based on Android smart phone platform, which can show the acceleration dynamic data, GPS position information, current speed information, the horizontal and vertical Sperling index, and all data can be recorded according to users’ needs. Finally, the reliability and practicability of the software are verified according to the result that lateral error is 1.4% and the vertical error is 10.1%, making the measurement of railway vehicle easier ,more portable and more popular.
