面向高清视频存储的无编解码快速降帧压缩方法

Fast frame reduction compression method without codec for high definition video storage

摘要:

针对当前大规模高清(HD)视频监控系统存在的存储成本过高,只能设置7~30 d的历史视频存储时长,导致监控系统历史视频使用价值低的问题,提出一种面向高清视频存储的无编解码快速降帧压缩方法,名为“A-Jump”。首先,将准备进行前向参考编码的P帧分组分层;然后,定义了不同P帧所参考编码的特定前续P帧位置;最后,通过“定位-删除-重组合”的手段实现视频的快速降帧,规避了计算量非常大的“解码-抽帧-重编码”过程。数据对比分析表明,所提方法的“快速降帧存储方案”相较于全帧率存储方案,可以在相同的存储时长情况下节省70%的视频存储空间,在相同的存储空间情况下视频存储时长可达原来的329%;相较于“超级压缩方案”,在运算服务器方面仅需要27%的投入成本;相较于其他基于“解码-抽帧-重编码”方式的“降帧存储方案”,在运算服务器方面投入成本仅占23.5%。实验结果表明,所提方法可以低成本地节省历史视频存储空间,增加视频存储时长,提升监控系统使用价值。

Abstract:

In response to the high storage cost of current large-scale High Definition (HD) video monitoring systems, which can only set a 7 to 30 d storage time for historical videos, resulting in low usage value of historical videos in the monitoring system, a fast frame reduction compression method without codec, named “A-Jump”,was proposed for HD video storage. Firstly, the P frames prepared for forward reference encoding were grouped and layered, Secondly, specific preceding P frame positions were defined for the reference encoding of different P frames. Finally, rapid video frame reduction was achieved through the method of “localization-deletion-recombination”, avoiding the computationally intensive process of “decoding-frame extraction-recoding”. After comparing and analyzing the implementation data, the “fast frame reduction storage solution” in the proposed method, can save 70% of video storage space compared to the full frame rate storage scheme under the same storage duration. Under the same storage space, the video storage duration can reach 329% of the original in this solution; compared to the “super compression solution”, in terms of computing servers, only 27% of the investment cost is required in this solution; compared to other “frame reduction storage solutions” based on the “decoding-frame extraction-recoding” method, the investment cost in computing servers only accounts for 23.5% in this solution. Experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively save historical video storage space at low cost, increase video storage duration, and enhance the value of monitoring systems.
